Volunteer Your Time
There are many ways you can volunteer your time to Supportive Living to improve the quality of life for brain injury survivors. Volunteer opportunities exist in Lexington, North Reading, Rockport and Woburn. Some examples of volunteer opportunities are:
Social Inclusion Activities: Examples of social inclusion activities include playing chess, going out for coffee, helping a resident with a writing project, board games and/or accompanying residents to volunteer work. Volunteers may be matched up with two or three residents; work with residents to determine their interests (for the day, week, or semester); and participate in their activities of interest.
Music Therapy:Â Our residents LOVE music of all sorts – playing the guitar, drums and singing.
Leading Arts-Based Activities: Some residents enjoy painting and other arts-based activities. Volunteers who enjoy doing and facilitating arts-based activities (with individuals or a group) are welcome to explore possible activities with Supportive Living residents.
